It is always a pleasure to work with our Chinese distributor, Radar, on the Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show. As one of the most important audio and video events in Hong Kong and South East Asia, this is a spectacular opportunity for industry members to show their wares to a captivated audience. If you did not have the opportunity to attend the HKAV Show this year, here are a few photos from the event.
The Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show is being held this year at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center August 5-7th and Nordost is excited to be taking part! Come and see us in the Radar room, S421, where Nordost representatives will be there to perform demonstrations and cable comparisons as well as answer product questions. The Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show is one of the most important events in the audio and visual industry in Hong Kong and South East Asia, and we are happy to be involved once again!
This year at T.H.E. Show Newport, Nordost enjoyed tremendous success, both in our own room and in several other systems throughout the event. Thank you to Maier Shadi for putting together such a first rate system to highlight our Reference Valhalla 2 cables. The rest of our system was made up of Wilson Audio Sasha 2 loudspeakers, two Dan D’Agostino Master Systems Progression mono amplifiers, Dan D’Agostino Momentum preamp and phono stage; dCS Rossini CD transport/DAC and dCS Rossini Clock; Brinkmann Balance turntable with SAT pickup arm, Lyra Atlas cartridge, and Minus K Vibration isolation base for the Brinkmann, and Stromtank Independent Power System.

Source AV had a Questyle and Focale system wired with Nordost Red Dawn cables, as well as several headphone rigs using our QRT, Sort Kones, and some Nordost cabling.
Upscale Audio’s primary system was wired with our flaship line, Odin 2. They also had a several PrimaLuna amps wired with Nordost cables, also featuring our Heimdall 2 Headphone Cable.
Sonic Flare’s room was put together by Danny Kaey, with Wilson speakers and Einstein components, and wired with Valhalla 2
Finally, Woo Audio was using Heimdall 2 and Blue Heaven cables to feature their headphone amps:
Once again, Munich High End 2016 was a tremendous success. This year at the MOC, we decided to focus our demonstrations on some of the most controversial and “on-trend” elements of hifi at the moment: vinyl and music streaming. In these demos we showed the differences between a generic Ethernet Cable and our new Blue Heaven and Heimdall 2 Ethernet Cables, as well as took attendees through the progression of tonearm cables, starting with Blue Heaven and culminating with Valhalla 2. Additionally, thanks to the dual-armed VPI Avenger turntable, we were able to compare standard internal tonearm wiring with our Reference Internal Tonearm Cable. Needless to say, the results were not subtle.

Nordost will be exhibiting at T.H.E. Show Newport Beach, June 3-5 at The Hotel Irvine. In room 1404, attendees will be able to hear Nordost’s Reference and Supreme Reference Cable ranges which will be featured in a system using components from dCS, D’Agostino and Wilson loudspeakers. Nordost sales representatives and product specialists, Michael Taylor and Steve Greene will be leading demonstrations and making cable comparisons throughout the weekend. While at the show, make sure to take advantage of a special show offer on select Nordost products at our sales booth across from the market place.
AXPONA impressed us again. With a massive turnout and great atmosphere, AXPONA never disappoints. This year, Nordost not only partnered with our local dealer, Holm Audio, in three of their rooms, but we were featured in several other rooms throughout the show. Nordost is exhibiting at the High End 2016 show in Munich, held at the MOC May 5-8. Product specialists and trainers, Bjorn Bengtsson, Alex Brady and Dennis Bonotto will be performing demonstrations and answering questions in Halle 4 Room 114 as our VP of international sales, Johann Graham, takes meetings with Nordost’s international distributors. Demonstrations will feature several new products that have been introduced throughout this past year. Nordost is eager to share these new innovations with High End 2016 attendees, and is looking forward to seeing all of our partners and friends again. High End 2016 should be a fantastic show. Nordost is happy to be taking part once again in Axpona, held at the Westin O’hare in Rosemont, just outside of Chicago, Friday, April 15—Sunday, April 17. This is a great opportunity for end users to experience live demonstrations and cable comparisons covering Nordost’s extensive range of products. Nordost will be featured in several rooms throughout the show including room 316, 450 and 646. While at the show, make sure to visit our sales booth in The Marketplace to take advantage of our special show offers on select Nordost products.
Nordost started the year once again at CES. As always, CES is a great time to catch up with dealers from all over the US, and our international distributors. It is also a wonderful opportunity to introduce new products. This year we introduced our Tyr 2 Digital 75 and 110 Ohm cables, our first two Ethernet cables in our Heimdall 2 and Blue Heaven ranges, and our Blue Heaven Headphone Cable. In addition to the new products that were featured in our room, CES attendees were able to see several Nordost products in systems throughout the show.

Nordost is very excited to be exhibiting at NAMM for the very first time, January 21-24. There, Nordost will be featuring their new line of Pro Audio Cables, Ax Angel, which will be expanding in the new year to include high quality microphone and speaker cables. NAMM attendees will be able to hear the Nordost difference themselves at the Nordost booth, #2594, where they will be encouraged to take part in interactive cable comparisons.
