The Absolute Sound Reviews the QBASE Reference

Our QBASE Reference has grabbed the attention of the press again! The most recent QB10 review comes from Jacob Heilbrunn of The Absolute Sound. After years of enjoying our QB8, Jacob was blown away by the QBASE Reference, particularly how the QB10 could achieve so much while remaining “invisible” in his system.

He noted, “With the insertion of the new QBase Reference, I heard an audible and immediate improvement in clarity, scale, bass extension, and detail.”

Beyond that, Jacob was also shocked by the extension in soundstage the QBASE Reference delivered–something that, in his opintion, no other device had come close to achieving.

  1. Thank you, Jacob, for such an insightful and generous review. We’re honored that the QBASE Reference delivered audible improvements while remaining truly “invisible” in your system. Your recognition of its soundstage extension and clarity truly means a great deal to us.

  2. I really enjoyed reading about the QBASE Reference and how it enhances audio quality! It’s fascinating how a well-designed power distribution system can make such a noticeable difference in sound. I wonder if you think there are specific genres of music that benefit more from this technology? Personally, I’ve found classical pieces often unveil hidden layers when you have the right setup. By the way, I stumbled upon some info on Snow Rider 3D about different setups for audiophiles; would love to hear your thoughts on integrating those with Nordost products!

  3. Jacob’s review really captures what makes the QBASE Reference special—achieving that elusive “invisible” presence while delivering noticeable improvements in clarity and soundstage. It’s refreshing to see a product that enhances the listening experience without imposing its own sonic signature.

  4. Jacob’s review really highlights how the QBASE Reference achieves that rare balance of being “invisible” while delivering noticeable improvements in clarity and soundstage extension. It’s impressive when audio equipment can enhance the listening experience without adding its own sonic signature. For musicians looking to complement their high-quality audio setups with visual content, having the right tools makes all the difference.
