Following up on our blog sharing Part I of Roy Gregory’s in-depth look at our Blue Heaven 3 cable range, we’re excited to share Part II of his review on GY8: Nordost Blue Heaven 3 – Pt II… Learning the Lessons and reaping the rewards of ‘One-ness’. In this installment, Roy takes an honest, step-by-step journey from a typical mix-and-match cable setup to a full system loom of Blue Heaven 3, something we’ve been advocating for years as one of the most effective paths to real performance gains.
What makes this article truly special is that Roy doesn’t just describe the benefits; he walks the reader through the practical process of upgrading an entire system’s cabling. Finding a reviewer willing to take the reader from a piecemeal cable arrangement to a full-system loom is rare. It’s a significant commitment of time and resources, so this first-hand account is a great guide to show what a consistent cable strategy can achieve.
Each Blue Heaven 3 cable performs exceptionally on its own. As Roy says, “If the Blue Heaven’s performance benefits don’t get your attention, that price differential certainly should.” However, after reading his account, you’ll understand how wiring your entire system with a unified line reveals the true potential of your components.
We’re pleased to share a new review of our Blue Heaven 3 cable range by reviewer Roy Gregory at GY8. Roy takes a thoughtful look at how cables not only influence a system individually, but as a part of a complete loom.
In his article, a system-wide approach to cabling is highlighted. As he explains, “the sonic and musical benefits of a ‘system-approach’ to cabling, one that treats the entire cable loom as a single component, is easy to hear… [and] fundamental to system performance.” But, as Roy notes, the practical and versatile nature of the Blue Heaven 3 range (with cables including loudspeaker, analog and digital interconnects, ethernet, USB, and power cables), is what makes it possible to wire an entire system with a single cable line.
Loom aside, this review underscores Blue Heaven 3’s role as a powerful foundation for those who want clarity, timing, and musical coherence from all of the components in their system, without immediately stepping into ultra-high-end cable territory.
“Musically and emotionally communicative, [Blue Heaven 3] both binds the components in a system together and releases their potential.” — GY8

We’re ending 2025 with a bang and starting 2026 off strong, thanks in part to the QNET7 Network Switch! The QNET7 received a glowing review in the December issue of hi-fi+. In it, reviewer Alan Sircom dives deep into the performance and design of the QNET7, highlighting how it builds on the legacy of the original QNET, further reducing noise and enhancing musical clarity over its predecessor.
In his article, Alan also explains that the QNET7 not only delivers technical improvements, but also imparts measurable musical benefits, bringing listeners closer to the heart of the performance itself, “…peeling away layers between the listener and the music, rather than adding or changing the sound.”
In fact, Alan was so impressed by the results he experienced with the QNET7 that it has already been awarded the distinction of hi-fi+ Winner 2026 in the category of Network Switch, an honor also given to the original QNET when it was released in 2022.
At Nordost, a large part of what we do is share what our audio components are capable of through live product demonstrations. To help do this, we spend a lot of time putting together playlists that highlight specific qualities in music and sound, so that you can appreciate the improvements that our cables and audio enhancers bring to a system. To begin 2026, we thought it would be fun to share our favorite demo songs of the past year with you. Some of these selections may have made an appearance in past playlists, but all of them are hits in our eyes (or ears!). As always, some may be classics, some may be brand new, some may not even be to your tastes, but we hope that there is something here for everyone to start off the new year on the right note.

As we start 2026, we can’t help but look back at the last year with pride. It was a year full of music, momentum, and memorable moments!
Nordost spent the year on the road and in listening rooms, co-hosting 59 events, as well as performing product demos at 15 trade shows! We love any opportunity to showcase our products, and appreciate all the face time we were able to spend with each of you, talking about your individual systems and figuring out which of our products could help you make the most of the components you already own and love.
But, as far as the reviewers and the press were concerned, Red Dawn 3stole the spotlight as our most-reviewed product. We’re happy to share that, thanks to those same reviewers, we proudly took home 22 awards along the way!
Thank you all for making 2025 such a fun and successful year. We’re already looking forward to what we’ll create, listen to, accomplish, and celebrate together this new year!
